Want to write a novel, but wondering how to get started? Or, well underway, but stuck or looking for new ideas? If so, join us at this free, interactive NWMG workshop.
In this structured session, we will talk about how your writing goals should influence your completed project, premise vs. theme, plot and sub-plots-- and how to build them, and lots of nuts and bolts including wordcounts, POV dos and don’ts, scene essentials, creating characters, dropping in backstory, jazzing up your dialog, opening pages, and more.
Participants will leave with notes on their own project, a summary of basics, an annotated list of references (books and websites), and—we hope—a bit of inspiration.
Seats are limited, so if you sign up and can’t make it, please change your RSVP as a courtesy to others.
And, watch for more NWMG workshops, coming soon!
(Facilitator: Cheryl Rieger. For those of you who don't know me, I am hard at work writing my second book, Blood Tells. My first mystery, Another Way to Die, is represented by the Carol Mann Agency.)
