Enjoyed everybody and everybody's writing. However I'm probably a best fit in the "fiction" category.

OH, forgot to give the site for buying button and tickets: http://sideshowfringe2013.event... will take you where you need to be. Tickets for my specific show aren't available quite yet; they're still putting it all online. But you can buy day passes and your button now, if you like. Magda will also be doing some storytelling as part of the Fringe, so you can see us both! If you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer. Thanks!!

Hi guys! Just wanted to share some details about the Sideshow Fringe Festival that I'll be reading at next weekend! I would LOVE to see you there and feel the love from my home base - the support and encouragement and feedback I've gotten from THIS GROUP has been an incredible source of forward momentum for this project. Details: My show is called "Brothers, again, together." I'm reading at 1pm on August 3rd at Belmont's Black Box Theater. It's part of the Nashville Sideshow Fringe Fest. FOR ADMISSION: you have to purchase a button in order to buy tickets for individual shows. The button is $5, and goes to pay the tech people and festival directors. The button ALSO gets you discounts and coupons at lots of local businesses, which is AWESOME. Once you have a button, you'll need to purchase either an individual ticket for my show or a day pass, which will let you see any/all shows for Saturday - which, at $35 is an awesome way to spend the day.

Thanks again and hope to see yall!

Loved it! Thank you all for reading your work - I am always so impressed by the talent in our group. I learn from all the critiques and especially appreciate your insightful criticism of my own work. See you next time.

Thank you, all, for making me feel welcome. I look forward to working on the piece you heard on Monday and "reporting back" as soon as I can. :)

Another wonderful time spent with some of my favorite fellow writers! I'm always stunned at the talent, depth, and insight that these folks pack into their work. From dealing with grief to struggling to find what you love (and hate) while dealing with cat feces, this group is ready to laugh and cry around one another! That level of trust and mutual commitment to good writing (even when it means chopping or cutting words you poured yourself into!!) is so hard to find, and too good to lose. Kehaunani is an AWESOME moderator and does such a good job keeping the group moving forward even when we want to linger in the emotion and memories that surface when others read their pieces. Really great work brought last night, and I can't wait until next month! You guys are my most pleasant deadline - "I have to have something ready for my nonfiction people!" is my favorite encouragement these days. See you next month!

Charlotte...I am so excited to hear more about your group of boys/men...and so enjoy the depth of your writing. Many good writers in the group and enjoyed all of them. I started out of the gate to write and got life sidetracked...hoping to get back into the zone again.

With Noelle & Jane out of the picture due to health issues looks like Rosie will join us. Sorry Noelle - I know all about migraines... and Jane I hope your MRI reveals something that is easily treatable...

hi guys, got a migraine-y thing going on so might not make it tonight! i think i was scheduled to read, but it looks like there'll be enough readers regardless. hope y'all have fun and catch ya next time!

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to cancel tonight. I'm having some hip and back issues that have become quite painful. I have an MRI scheduled for Thursday that should reveal the issue and aid in a treatment plan. I'll miss seeing you all and hearing/reading some wonderful stories. I hope to see you next time.

My friend Rosie is coming with me tonight, and she's bringing a couple pages to share in the case that one of the 5 doesn't come or doesn't have something to share. I'm bringing a piece as well. Looking forward to it as usual!

    Sadly, I got nuthin'.

I was attacked by a vicious case of writers block that hasn't released me from its grip in almost a month.

Maybe I'll find some inspiration from you fine folks!

I will definitely bring something to read, though I have read at a lot of these meetings and wouldn't mind letting someone else read if they want.
