Writers' Chat: Branding and Publishing Discussion

In this special session of the Chat, local author Michael Tucker (Aquarius Falling, Capricorn's Collapse) will compare two social media sites-- Goodread and Wattpad-- where authors can gain exposure. His talk will address how writers can determine which site best meets their branding needs.

Then, we'll have a discussion of the merits of traditional publishing vs. indie (self) publishing.

Anyone with experience in these areas is especially invited to come and share what they have learned! We are especially interested in experience-based opinions.

Note: Bring no pages-- just your desire to connect with and support other writers.

I do not have anything close to publication ready. I'll gladly relinquish my spot, and hope that the discussion can be scheduled at a later date.

Suggestion: How does everyone who is on the wait list feel about meeting anyway and just chatting about our progress? It has been really helpful to me to have support to keep keeping on.

We could just meet in a different area ...same place and same time

Is that acceptable to the Meet Up Powers that Be?

May need to connect to someone who knows the pros and cons of self discovery amongst other self-discoverers...ha ha

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
