  • Irish writer Danny Ellis will be reading from his memoir, THE BOY AT THE GATE, on Wed, Sept 25, at 7 pm.

Not only will Danny be reading from his memoir, he will be answering questions.

He will read and sing one or two of his songs in an actual recording studio on Music Row: Digital Audio Post,[masked]th Avenue South (Music Row).

This recording studio was previously the famous 16th Avenue Sound studio.

Books and CDs will be available at the event.

Danny Ellis has put together an incredible memoir, THE BOY AT THE GATE.

And if you subscribe to his mailing list, you will get a featured song for the book, as well as a preview of the first two chapters.

Sara Gruen, author of WATER FOR ELEPHANTS, has endorsed Danny’s book,

"A beautifully written, heartbreaking story of betrayal, abandonment and the healing power of friendship and music. This will rip your heart out, but ultimately, will hand it back to you whole, and you'll be inspired by the ride.

What Danny endured is wrenching and horrifying, but his style and rhythm are so beautiful and starkly honest - and the voice of the child within him so innocent and mischievous - that courage and strength win the day.

This is an incredibly brave book: shocking, and sometimes, despite everything, shockingly hilarious. It's the journey of one man's struggle to connect with the child he once was. As it turns out, the road out is also the road back. I love this book!"

Once again, Danny's website is accessible here:

Go ahead and subscribe to the mailing list so you can get a featured song for the book, as well as a preview of the first two chapters.

The reading will be limited to about 20 participants, and the participants have to be members of the Nashville Writers Meetup.
