Sounds good to me. I haven't submitted much. I'm way behind everyone in that respect. A publishing credit would be nice. So far, I have a piece of garden art in a coffeetable book and a recipe in Specialty of the House from when I had a restaurant. I came to writing after doing a bunch of other things.
