This Natural Health Meetup group was started Dr Sylvia Chukwuemeka, a Medical and a Consultant in Health Promotion and Natural Health. She qualified as a doctor at St. Mary’s Hospital, Paddington in 1994 after completing my entirely conventional medical training, and since that time gained varied experience in a range of Medical fields including Cardiology, General Medicine, Surgery, Accident and Emergency Medicine and Psychiatry. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health and a Member of the Institute of Health Promotion and Education, a Member of the Institute for Optimum Nutrition and a Member of the International Stress Management Association. She been a Natural Health Advisor TV and radio in the past and is a freelance health writer.
The Meetup group offers an opportunity for members to get together to learn about and discuss various aspects of Natural Health, to meet like-minded individuals and to gain inspiration and guidance on nutrition, lifestyle, natural remedies and how to promote and maintain optimum health naturally. This will take to form of informal meetings and well as invitations to formal talks given by Dr Sylvia or by other speakers. In addition to this, members can benefit from information relevant to Natural Health from Dr Sylvia either through the Meetup group website or via articles and videos on her website http://www.aloedoctor.co.uk which will also provide special offers to Meetup group members on the Natural Health products available. For those interested in helping themselves and others to improve their health naturally, information on this will also be available at the Meetups or indeed by contacting the group organizer directly.
Dr Sylvia’s particular interest in Natural health and, in particular, Aloe Vera and its properties began after she was introduced to it as a natural remedy for her own health problems. She had been unable to resolve these problems in spite of her medical knowledge and experience. She was suffering from hayfever, migraines, fatigue and an Immune System problem similar to lupus – among other things. Initially very skeptical, she tried the Aloe Vera Gel drink from Forever Living Products and to her surprise and delight, found that it worked not only for her but for various problems among family and friends including joint, skin, digestive and immune system problems as well as weight issues.
After carrying out extensive research into its properties (as a skeptical medical mind is apt to do!) she was able to satisfy herself that this was not some magical ‘miracle cure’ but good hard scientific processes within an entirely natural and very appropriately named ‘Medicine Plant’. Aloe is not a cactus as is commonly thought, but a complex member of the lily family, boasting over 200 components and 75 nutrients, each playing beneficial role in the body and helping to restore the body’s natural balance. It was the remedy of choice for early doctors such as Hippocrates who had no option but to rely on what nature had to offer!
Dr Sylvia’s fantastic experiences with Aloe and other natural health remedies changed her approach to health. She was so impressed with her findings and amazing personal experiences that she is now passionate about making relevant information and the same superior quality natural health products from Forever Living Products that benefitted her available to a wide range of individuals through various means including meetings, talks and her website at http://www.aloedoctor.co.uk
We look forward to seeing you soon.
