Attitudinal Healing is based upon ancient psycho-spiritual truths and is focused on creating inner and outer environments of cooperation, harmony and peace. Attitudinal Healing integrates practical spiritual principles into a psychological format. These principles introduce the dynamic of choice into the psychological process and offer people the opportunity for personal transformation. The fundamentals of this healing assert that we can learn to love ourselves and others by practicing forgiveness and letting go of judgment. The tenets further state that it is not people or circumstances outside ourselves that cause us conflict or distress, but rather our own thoughts, feelings and attitudes about people and events. By exploring these thoughts we can eventually find and share inner peace. Attitudinal Healing is a retraining of the mind and an opening of the heart, removing the blocks to love?s presence and leading to freedom from conflict.

Dr. Laurie Pappas is an Educator, Counselor, Speaker, Writer and Metaphysician, and is the Co-Founder of the Metro Detroit Center for Attitudinal Healing where she has directed the activities of the center for 16 years. She has conducted spiritual/metaphysical counseling sessions for 20 years, taught classes and workshops, trained personal growth group leaders, and was a frequent columnist in a large Detroit metaphysical newspaper in the early nineties. Dr. Pappas is committed to the inspiration and growth of all those with whom she has the honor of working and to the creation of cultures grounded in harmony, peace, compassion and love.
