"Matthew Martin- Energy Efficiency Consultant Born in San Diego, CA. , Matt Martin spent nearly a decade working in Yosemite National Park as a manager, wilderness guide and trip coordinator where he learned to appreciate the intricate balance of natural systems. After training in Computer Aided Drafting and Design, he studied the benefits of Passive Solar application in home design, and renewable energy source implementation for residential settings. Currently the energy efficiency consultant for ENPowered Home, his primary focus is educating homeowners on energy use, and conservation within the home. As a founding member of the ?Growing Louisville?Green? campaign, he is active in community sustainability, and government acceptance of green building techniques. A graduate of the Broderick Leadership Institute, he has multiple management certifications from corporations ranging from Delaware North to TJX. Matt has appeared as a consultant on the ?State of Affairs? program on NPR, and holds regular seminars on efficiency practices in businesses throughout Louisville, as well as personally evaluating homes for efficiency and education. wish i could afford the 12 dollars a month to keep Growing Louisville Green meet up running...but I am afraid I am terribly too poor for that right now. do you plan on keeping the idea alive? anymore meetings? I am still 100% committed. I am sorry that I haven't had much involvement as of lately but its only because this is my first semester of full time school...its kicking my butt. write back! i would love to hear from you..

I'm a member of Slow Food Bluegrass and work part-time at Locust Grove. The 2nd Annual Slow Food Locust Grove Family Picnic will take place June 14. We will have demonstrating craftsmen, local farmers and would love to add "green" to our agenda. Any ideas, suggestions? Contact me
