Make cob! Cover the Radiant Heat Bench with Cob! So fun! So much learning!
This is a continuation of last sundays fantastic
CREATIVE COBBERS COLLECTIVE meetup .

Lea and Jan would like to invite you to a Creative Cobbers Collective on

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26th at 12:00 noon

Creative?....
1. We have an earth bag and cob structure (about 15 feet in diameter). Lea named it Sanctuary,
2. We want it to have a fireplace (we had one,..see this ForumFCS
Soooo, we're trying to come up with a design that will be capable of a fire, and will also be open for hot rocks to accommodate a sweat.
I believe it has to do with draft and flow.
There is also some ground work for straw bale reconstruction, wall cobbing and ornamental design. Also, numerous stages of armatures for interior candelabras.

This project is ripe for ideas and solutions, and a fine sampler for a cobbers palette.
C'mon out and "get dirty". We'll make some hearty soup. Bring what you may to share.

meet-up fee of $5. will apply (this fee covers the cost of meet-up dues and some supplies)

From the North;

    Amazing day. Seems we created so much from our will to "make it happen. Made our own firebrick, excavated for our optimum warm couch hight. We want i fairly low, or not too high. Since I hav'nt responded to every meetup, I have to make a composite review that All the meetups have been outstanding. The beach the birdhouses strawbalin I know I missed the oven in Hyde Pk and am sure that was a 4 star I don't mean to be hoggin the hosting here, (just wanna be clear) but I was thinking that the cob fired sculpted heads that Lea and a crew did about two years ago are were really beautiful. It could be a good winter (indoor project). We could actually do it anywhere where we could have a fire.

    The meet up was so much fun. We will be working again next Sunday. Phase by phase this rocket stove bench is coming alive. It is really an interesting process. Please come out if you are interested in seeing how it's done. Thank you for everyone's help! Keep it coming!

    Great to part of the evolution of warmth to your sanctuary. Let me know how the bricks turn/burn out! Peace, Martha
