Hi Anna,

I am so sorry that I have not been able to join you on this project!  I helped stomp in the straw clay infill and I love the whole darn place.  I have a ridiculous calf injury that has needed lots of attention and crutches. Also have lots of fun news to tell and would love to catch up.

God is sure shinin' on y'all with the fantabulous weather!!  My best to you and the lovely Hutchinsons and all the little darlings at the farm!

peace and love.
Martha

What: Straw Clay Building, Plaster Work Week This Week too!

When: All week- today through Friday, and quite possibly the weekend too...

Where: Jim Hutchison
6648 E. Farm School Rd.
Rock City, IL 61070
(815)[masked]

We are at it again- all this week - come on out to see and contribute to this amazing straw clay building. Take a sick day or two or three, and come out to GraceAcres Farm while the weather is so freaking gorgeous.

Dear Natural Builders of Chicago and Beyond:

Howdy! A wonderful Straw Clay building is recieving its plasters this week. Jim and Connie Hutchison have built a state of the art Straw Clay workshop on their land out here in Rock City, IL.

In this beautiful weather, the Hutchisons and I are prepping and plastering the wall with and for earthen plaster base coat. If you would like to come out to lend a hand on the work this week, spend a couple of hours out here, your efforts would be welcomed and appreciated. There will be tours of the building this fall, and for years to come, but this week the greatest focus is physical progress on the building.

The project is pretty big, and we have a lot of ground to cover while this wonderful weather permits swift progress. The land is also big, and plenty of room for tents, if you'd like to stay for more than a day, there are starry skies, plenty of fresh air, and there is fresh jersey milk to whet your whistle whilst you work, too!

Meetup doesn't seem to let me schedule something for each day of the week, only once a week, BUT...We are out here working every day this week. I am scheduling the "meetup" for tomorrow, but please know its today through Friday. There may be work this weekend as well, to be updated as the week progresses.

I hope you are enjoying this gorgeous week, and that you can make it out here to sling some mud!
