Eco Bike Tour with DC Sierra Club

Join DC Sierra Club leaders on a fun mini Eco Bike Tour! We will meet at the Eastern Market metro stop at 10:00am. Jim Dougherty will lead us on a bike tour around Anacostia as we visit various points of environmental controversy, past and present, including Reservation 13, The Redskins Training Facility, Barney Circle Highway Project, the Children's Island Amusement Park, Benning Road Power Plant, and finally the H Street and Benning Rd NE future street car line. We will conclude for lunch on H Street. If you don't have a bike, the Capital Bikeshare is available!

Parking should be available on nearby streets. I am sure you can find places to lock your bike on H st. In the worst case I plan to lock mine to a streetsign or something.

This looks like a very cool activity! Does anyone know if there is parking near the Eastern Market metro stop if I decide to drive (bringing my bike in my car)? For the lunch part, is there an area where people can lock their bikes? thx. Don

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
