This guy is obviously "touched" in a special way.
He continues to load my in box with rhetorical insanity.
This is just a sample of the more than 100+ posts as greetings.
I have started to label them all as SPAM for MeetUp to scrutinize.
This person will slant any comment I try to reply with.
Twist it into his own words and then now he threatens me.
His arguments don't hold water, so he resorts to name calling.
His accusations are false and senseless with no base.
How does he come to his conclusions?
How does know that I am not a "red man" as he states?
He knows nothing about me and yet acts like he does.
Is this guy in fact an assistant organizer?
In general I have done my best to ignore this person.
I knew better than to reply. An now here we go again.
This guy is way off base, and maybe even off his rocker.
NOTE highlights below.
The opposite of this fallacy is argument to moderation.
False dilemma can arise intentionally, when fallacy is used in an attempt to force a choice (such as, in some contexts, the assertion that "if you are not with us, you are against us"). But the fallacy can also arise simply by accidental omission of additional options rather than by deliberate deception.

is a type of informal fallacy that involves a situation in which limited alternatives are considered, when in fact there is at least one additional option. The options may be a position that is between two extremes (such as when there are shades of grey) or may be completely different alternatives.

A false dilemma (also called the fallacy of the false alternative, false dichotomy, the either-or fallacy, fallacy of the excluded middle, fallacy of false choice, black-and/or-white thinking, or the fallacy of exhaustive hypotheses)

NOTE: I simply suggest he move to Canada when he stated he thinks their gun laws were better than ours, and that we should repeal the second amendment, and then asked where he should go.
So I simply stated...go to Canada then.
we want your guns steve turn in your guns steve

If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.

You have a new Greeting!

Dear Tumbleweed Steve ,
bill dijkman posted a new Greeting on your Meetup Profile!
“An exception is analytic philosopher John Searle, who called it an incorrect assumption which produces false dichotomies. Searle insists that "it is a condition of the adequacy of a precise theory of an indeterminate phenomenon that it should precisely characterize that phenomenon as indeterminate; and a distinction is no less a distinction for allowing for a family of related, marginal, diverging cases."”

You can view or respond to this greeting here.
