Building RESTful services with Node.js

Reminder that January's NebraskaJS meetup is on Thursday, and not on the regularly scheduled Tuesday per New Years and hangovers.

We'll have the prolific Nick Nisi (@nicknisi) presenting on RESTful services and Node.js, specifically:

  • Building services with Express.
  • Best practices for avoiding callback hell
  • Sharing templates between client-side & server-side JavaScript code.

We'll also have a short lightning talk from Collin Forrester (@cforrester07) on the process he went through to contribute code to the jQuery Mobile project: https://github.com/jquery/jquery-mobile/pull/5281

Also, a big thanks to Agape Red for sponsoring the pizza and refreshments for this meetup!

See you there!

Content was great, speaker was passionate, knew the topic very well, and answered questions appropriately. Though some of the walk-through was a bit confusing.

There is a street front sign labeled "Alpha Graphics", so you know you have the right place. Overflow parking is on the north-west side of the building, accessed via Chicago Cir.

I am without a car this month. Is anyone leaving from the Midtown Crossing or Ameritrade stadium part of town that I could catch a ride with? Thanks!

I can pick you up—Midtown crossing is closer to me. Send pickup GPS coordinates to [masked]

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
