So I am an internet member, apparently, due to distance. How does this work?

You are welcome to come to any of our events. If it is an observing event like an open house or another star party, you will want to make sure it isn't canceled due to cloud cover. The best way to be sure would be to call the Observatory and talk to someone before heading out. This event on the 26th is rain or shine. Observatory phone:[masked]

I can understand if you do feel the distance is too much. In case you don't know about them, I just wanted to let you know there is an active astronomy group closer to your area: http://www.askc.org/

We are a much more small group and some people appreciate that and attend our events even though they live in the KC area.
