My daughter is going away to Bowling Green College. She leaves next Friday, August 19th. I've been wanting to have an end of the summer wine soiree. So I thought why don't we just combine the two. And what better time and what better reason to have a party (you know me, I love parties and a reason to have them ;-) and its a great opportunity to include my friends from meetup.
This is going to be a joint event. Here are the details:
We've decided to host a College Kid Trunk Party/End Of The Summer Wine and Cheese Soiree. Any kind of wine is fine. We'll supply the cups, napkins, toothpicks, utensils, plates, bottled water, crackers, fruit and cheese. We'll have chicken, burgers, crab legs and ribs on the grill. You should bring whatever else you would like on the grill, if my selection is not ok for you and a side dish and/or dessert of some kind.
We will have a wide assortment of international cheeses as well as crackers and fruits. We will also have a Ghirardelli Chocolate fountain with strawberries, etc. We'll have a small dance floor set up and there will be a foos ball table in one of the rooms or outside.
Later in the evening we'll start a bonfire. Smoking is allowed outside on the deck. Join me and some of my closest friends for an evening of good wine, dancing, music and great conversation.
You'll hate yourself if you miss this end of the summer party!!! Dress code is casual. Please RSVP YES Only with the definite intent to commit to attend because if you don't show you will be taking a spot away from someone who would have really like to come.
This event is limited to 50 members. If you cannot attend, it is not necessary for you to rsvp NO. If you rsvp NO, it will be removed. If you want to invite your friends, please reflect it in your RSVP.
So how can I party with a purpose and help a college kid out at the same time you may ask? And just who is Erin Troy?
Well, you may remember how difficult it was as a college kid just starting out as a freshman. Erin Troy is a 2011 graduate from Twinsburg Highschool headed off to Bowling Green University and my daughter. ;-)
Bringing a gift or a couple of bucks would seriously brighten her day and provide some relief for this new life experience she's embarking on. Gift ideas and suggestions are available online
Help fill her trunk with gifts that she can use while away for college. She has a gift list started at target.com. You can find her by name, the link above or by registry number: 012184000000103
Because this is a joint meetup, spots will fill up fast. So please rsvp today. Thanks guys and I really look forward to seeing everyone this coming Sunday.
P.S. If you don't drink its still ok to come. If you don't drink wine, we'll have other alcohol available and please feel free to B.Y.O.B.
P.P.S If you can't help a college kid out at this time, its ok too, please still come. We'd love to meet you for the first time or see you again.
