This is a Meetup to Meetup Ride......  We will meet up with the Columbus Riders Group for lunch and then ride the state park with them....  Should be a lot of fun.... meet other riders from Columbus and share some good times.  This ride will be taking back roads to Mohican State Park with a stop in Loudonville for lunch...

For Safety and Respect of other riders I will ask that we do not drink alcohol during lunch stop. The ride will go through the Mohican State park which has some sharp turns.

Restaurant Information:

Malabar Inn
3645 Pleasant Valley Rd. Perrysville, OH 44864

http://www.malabarfarmrestaurant.com/index.html

This ride will be about 2 hours down on back roads with speeds up to 55mph.  The park does have some sharp!

Arrive at Holiday Inn with full tank and empty bladder!   Kick stands up at 11am so we can meet the other group on time....

Outstanding Ride - I like the long rides with limited stops. Your trip was excellent and you did a nice job of keeping the group together. Sorry I had to leave a bit early.

Laurie -- GREAT ride. I really enjoy the long rides and you handled the road blocks - detours, parades etc. without a hitch. I am sorry I had to breakoff before we got to the park but had to be back in Kent for an event by5:30. Thanks again.!!!!!

Leader Laurie posted route directions, menu of restaurant we were to visit & was instrumental in giving us the opportunity to meet another Meet Up organization. That was enough, most would say. But, in an effort to ensure no one from our large group would get lost, she also handed each driver a printed route. And, when we got separated, she always pulled over, giving us a chance to regroup. We arrived at our destination as one cohesive group. not split up in fractions. Not every leader does this. She earned my respect as one of the best this 99ers bunch has to offer as a leader.

Well said, Clare! Laurie is a great leader and Sharon is a huge help, too, along with some of the other co-leaders that help lead when the group gets too big.

Another great riding day! Thanks Laurie! My apologies to the poor souls (Sharon, Gwen and ?) who were following me on that Route 3 detour! :) My goal was taking scenic roads versus getting home fast. I had no idea where I was going but the scenery was great!

  • Evie

Awesome! Looking forward to this ride! Malabar Inn is a great place! It's probably been over 8 years since I've been there so I don't know if they've made any changes but parking always seemed to be an issue and that was when we only had maybe 5 bikes in the group. Too many cagers in the lot! In addition to the parking lot there was a small patch in the front on the street that fit maybe 6 or so bikes as long as a car wasn't there. One of my friends squeezed next to their trash bin once which was not a parking spot! Depending on the time we arrive parking might not be so bad once the cars are gone and I don't remember if there was enough room to park along the street and whether it's allowed or safe. I don't mean to put my two cents in but just want to give a heads up in case you haven't been there yet. You probably know more than I do.
