Nice job J and Dale.....very informative...never realized there was so much that went into one of these events....so much more than just a bunch of bikes hitting the road.

I think this meetup was very helpful in helping me understand how I can participate more than just a rider. I'll be working on getting a few rides going and will reach out to some of you for help.

It was good to see everyone.

    April 7

Shawn, you've missed the first session. That is a requirement for attending the second session. Sorry.

I think I have my handouts. If I do, I can bring some extra copies.

Ilona, Thanks, but I have a few left over from the no-shows.

Dave, having a master's degree I know that you understand prerequisites. Here, the previous course is a prerequisite for this one.

    1 · April 6

    • Dave C

That was my point. Its not a degree program. Its a control program, exclusionary. The leadership does not need to ban me from the group for daring to question them. I will have no further comment from here on.

      April 6

    • J

No one is banning anyone, nor was it ever suggested. The seminars are completely free and the pre requisite was offered 3 times to make certain that everyone who was interested in the series would be able to attend. Think of it like math courses: You have to take Algebra 1 before you can take Algebra 2 even if you know all the material.

      April 7

  • John M

I can not find my handouts from the first class. No one said to save them. Was that a prerequisite also? I will bring a pen.

    2 · April 6

    • J

No problem John. I will print a few extras.

I'm sorry I can't make it but I will be teaching a BRC class that weekend

How imperative is it to have attended the feb/march Group riding seminar? I missed them and cancelled my reservation because of the pre-requisite. I've been doing group rides with 99ers for a number of years, does on the job training count?

    1 · April 6

    • Dale T.

Dave C. Attending the first part of this seminar is a requirement. Due to our members interest of the seminars we provided three opportunities, within two month to attend. With out attending the first seminar, it would be nearly impossible to "catch on" to the second part.

      1 · April 6

    • Dave C

With all due respect Dale, I do have a masters degree. I don't think it is imperative I experienced the group riding seminar to catch on or understand the concepts. It's not a college course or rocket science to say impossible to catch on. I could pick up some knowledge just listening. That's OK though. I could better understand limited space as a reason for exclusion.

A meeting was just posted for March 30th. Is it the same information ? Was the April class canceled?

This April seminar is NOT cancelled. The March 30th seminar is the same as the March 23rd. seminar but just a different location.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
