Companionship with others who understand the lure of two wheels and a motor.
A 2009 Yamaha TMAX motorscooter. Don't let the scooter lable fool you, with 300 pounds of me on it I saw 95 MPH and climbing when I decided this machine will go faster than I will ever want to go.
Comfortable digging into the innards of machinery, have a basic knowledge of electrics and can use a VOM. I understand maps and enjoy working with them.
Nearly everything except iron butt events and escorted parade style events. I really enjoy twisty roads out in the boondocks, and it doesn't need to be knee dragging, center stand dragging fast.
Long time rider since 1965 -- almost 50 years of riding, still alive and not crippled up.
My first ride, home made back in 1965, was made of two farm implement wheels, gas pipe, and angle iron. It had an antique B&S motor that hauled me down the road at 12 MPH. Still riding, still loving it.
A welcoming and open group.
