The Organizer Team

Hi all-

Well, mother nature is starting to hear our cries and the weather is looking nicer.  45 today, I almost rode.

I wanted to update you all on what has been happening behind the scenes in the past few weeks.

Tom Chambers has assumed the role of Co-Organizer/Vice President.  Tom is a great leader with super ideas and has really jumped in to help me with managing the group.  His partnership will help to propel us forward.  Tom is a long time rider with much experience including helping to organize the Ohio chapter of the 9/11 run to DC.  He is a great asset to the 99ers and helps to keep me focused on our goals of keeping our group strong and unified.

Dale Tyjeski has also joined the organizer team as an assistant organizer.  Dale is probably the most experienced rider in our team.  With multiple Iron Butt Certificates and experience in leadership with great groups like HOG and Hoagy's Heros, Dale brings some super ideas and experiences to our group.  I look forward to his fresh ideas and vast experience.

Joe Hammer joined the organizer team late last season as well.  Joe has many years of riding and leading his church riding group.  Joe is a long time 99er that many of us know.  He is a great friend and a super leader who knows the 99ers and continues to be focused on keeping our group strong.

A few of our team have stepped away from the organizer team.  Jim O has stepped into a membership role as his job (and maybe Magda too "lol") keep him busy.  Jim continues to be a great friend to the group.  Walt G. has stepped away from the 99ers.  His goals and ideas were different from those of the group.  I wish him well in his pursuits in life and with The Erie Road Riders.

The only thing missing from our leadership group now is YOU.  I hope that each of you will consider adding your contribution to the 99ers.  This can be by stepping into a leadership role, offering to help with rides and events, posting ideas and info to the site and/or making donation$ to support the 99ers.  Whatever you add just makes the group that much better.  Whether you are a long term member or brand new to the group your contribution is appreciated.  Just drop me or Tom an email if you have any questions.

Have a super weekend.
