Storytelling with Data 2014 is a combination of presentations, speaker demonstrations, and hands-on practice sessions.

Session I
July 7 - 11 from 9 a.m. – 4:15 p.m.

Location: Boston University, 685 Commonwealth Avenue, Room 331

Session II

July 14 - 18 from 6 - 9 p.m. each night and Saturday July 19th from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Location: Boston University, 730 Commonwealth Ave; 3rd Floor Room 304

This workshop is designed for anyone who needs to use data to tell a more powerful story for their clients, customers or audience with techniques like:

§  analyzing data to convince donors to open their wallets

§  showcasing key data in a proposal for a grant or other funding

§  extracting social media data to pictorially demonstrate your business success

§  getting your message out with powerful, easily digestible data visualizations

§  crafting more persuasive pitches, releases and infographics using statistics

§  increasing audience engagement by including compelling data in speeches and social media

§  building employee loyalty and brand advocacy with data-rich internal communications

§  using data to clinch an important sales pitch

§  incorporating persuasive data findings in a legal brief or jury presentation
