Net2Chi Monthly Meetup

This February, Gordon will be presenting an expanded, updated version of the "Sherlock Holmes & Social Media" presentation from this September's Chicago COUNTS Conference. If you are interested in learning how to use social media to begin building collaborations, please be sure to attend.

We are holding our February meeting at Digital Bootcamp, located at 25 W Hubbard. Digital Bootcamp offers a wide range of one day and multi-week courses on various design and development software and technology. Instructors are all working professionals with extensive knowledge in their field and are eager to help. Dave Chakrabarti is founding a startup! Nonprofitable.org builds Drupal / CiviCRM solutions for nonprofits. Prior to this, Dave built Drupal-based websites as a project manager for the Chicago Technology Cooperative and was an internet marketing consultant.

Gordon Dymowski has over ten years' experience in public health community mobilization, from working on tobacco control and clean air policy to working with chemical dependency and the homeless. Currently, Gordon has shifted to the corporate side, working as social media analyst/strategist and researcher. Gordon also has over fifteen years involvement in the online realm, starting with the Prodigy BB, and currently blogs about comics, television, and pop culture at http://www.blogthispa..., and also blogs about social media and civic engagement at metroshrink.com.

Jonathan Eyler-Werve directs field operations for Global Integrity, an anti-corruption watchdog collaborating online in 92 countries.

Michael Maranda promoting digital excellence, media & social justice through purposive community and field-building.

Heidi Massey is a nonprofit/community benefit organization specialist. She works with organizations to help them with outreach, diversity, volunteer recruitment/management and program/leadership/staff development.
