Thought this program might be of interest to those non-profits as a case study of a successful e-mentoring programme (which might work as a project/ project model?).
THE SOCIAL MOBILITY FOUNDATION
The Social Mobility Foundation runs e-mentoring programmes aimed at supporting very bright A-Level
students from disadvantaged backgrounds to translate their potential into challenging careers in competitive sectors. Becoming a mentor is a focussed, flexible way to make a significant positive impact on a young person at a critical juncture in their lives. It involves:
? Approximately 30 minutes per week
? For 6 months? duration
? Providing advice, support and insight into your profession
? Entirely online through a dedicated e-mentoring website
? With full support from the Foundation throughout the process.
