Net2Chi input and Learnapalooza!

Hey everyone,

Hope you had a great week.

Just 2 items to share with you.

First, we are looking for a location for the next meetup on Tuesday, July 12th. If you have any suggestions or are connected with a nonprofit or tech organization that might be willing to host, please let us know. Also, if you have any ideas to share about topics or speakers after July, please feel free to pass that on as well. We want this group to reflect the desires of its participants.

Second, this weekend it is Learnapalooza, a great event put together by Communiteach. They have asked us to let you all know about this wonderful learning opportunity. Below is a letter from them with more details. I hope to see you there!

Have a great weekend. Hope to see you at the next Net2Chi meetup in July.

Here's the info on Learnapalooza:

Come join us for a FREE workshop in Time Banking 101. On a
basic level, time banking is about spending an hour doing
something for somebody in your community. That hour goes into
the Time Bank as a Time Dollar. Then you have a Time dollar to
spend on having someone doing something for you. Time Banking
101 will teach you the basic principles of time exchange: how
it works, how to start a time bank and where to find more
information. In addition to this meetup group, please RSVP at:

This workshop is part of Learnapalooza, a summer festival of
learning with nearly 100 workshops on Saturday, June 25th
across the Wicker Park-Bucktown neighborhood. This is a
volunteer-led festival in partnership with CommuniTeach (
http://communiteach.c...), a website that makes it easy to learn
from your neighbors throughout the year. Learn more and RSVP
for your favorite classes today at and feel free to email if you have any questions or would
like to volunteer for the festival. We look forward to seeing
you on June 25th!
