The election's over, but the work has just begun. Are you ready?
President-elect Obama has called for citizens to get involved in addressing the most pressing issues of our time. Join us as we welcome featured guests AmericaSpeaks, who are working to help the Obama administration connect with the voices of everyday Americans. As a national nonprofit, AmericaSpeaks has engaged over 145,000 citizens in an innovative, non-partisan face-to-face meeting method called the 21st Century Town Meeting. They've been experimenting with how to leverage the power of the internet to scale up our work to engage citizens in decision making.
We'll have drinks and snacks, (thanks to our sponsor, GeniusRocket) and in exchange we'll be asking YOU to help AmericaSpeaks vet some ideas for online engagement of millions of Americans. You might even pick up some useful tips while sharing yours.
More about AmericaSpeaks
AmericaSpeaks’ mission is to reinvigorate American Democracy by engaging citizens in the public decision-making that most impacts their lives.
Check out our sponsor, GeniusRocket, which enables its clients to drastically amplify their promotional efforts. Through a community of 6,000+ in over 65 countries, GeniusRocket guides clients through a process that enables the client to successfully & inexpensively create a promotional campaign- be it video, animation, flash banner ads, graphic design, or copywriting.
Their process is particularly effective with non-profits, as one of the key motivators of any of their RFBs (Requests for Brilliance) is passion. They've also been successful in reaching out to the existing supporters of their non-profit clients, getting them involved in both the creation and distribution of the media. The consultants at GeniusRocket are involved throughout the entire process, from drafting a request to the community, to selection and distribution of the content, making the shift to online & social media advertising both painless and powerful!
Please feel free to contact Drew Schiff at Drew at GeniusRocket dot com or [masked].
