As you've probably heard from just about everyone who has your email address, DC Week starts tomorrow. This has led to, as Hank Dearden put it, "a core-dump of digital doings descending upon D.C. directly."
So apologies for the overlapping events this month, but that was kind of the plan from the start. We've selected four highlights for NetSquared DC members, but I'm sure we'll see you around all week!
In celebration of our 50 (!!!) successful events, we're going to kick back and celebrate with a happy hour this month. And you can celebrate getting to connect with other cool people without interruption from pesky content.?We've teamed up with our friends at ProgressDC and Hub DC to put together a great crowd and all-night food and drink specials, including $3 Yuenglings and PBRs, $4 rails and $5 wines. Thanks again to our sponsor, Intelligent Office of Virginia for making this possible.
2. If you still need to earn your "On a Boat" Foursquare badge, long-time NetSquared DC member and supporter Hank Dearden is captaining the Digital Schmooze Cruise, also June 15th, presented by 1 Piazza and The Capital Cabal. They'll set sail promptly at 7:00PM from the swank Georgetown riverfront docks. The price is $35 per person, which includes a first drink ticket, copious pizza and other goodies to be announced. Registration is now open, tickets must be purchased in advance and are going fast-fast.?
3. For the startup-minded, our longtime hosts and dear friends at Affinity Lab are?hosting "From $1M to $10M"?to provide next-level support to DC's entrepreneurs.?This is going to be a terrific event, full of quality stories from great entrepreneurs. And NetSquared members can waive the $20 registration fee and attend for FREE by using the code "members" at checkout.
Social changemakers and technological forerunners come together at monthly Net Tuesday events to mix, swap stories and ideas, build new relationships, and reinforce the online NetSquared (http://www.netsquared.org) community.
