Net2 and CODEPINK Team Up To...

Our June focus will be CODEPINK
"Pimp my Nonprofit" is our regular bi-monthly brainstorm session. This time, we're helping out CODEPINK to take their tech strategy and online communication efforts to the next level.

Through this case-study oriented conversation, everyone will have a chance to learn vicariously from some of the leading technology and communications experts in DC. Thus we encourage any consultants and geeks in the audience to show up and strut your stuff.

CODEPINK is a women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end the war in Iraq, stop new wars, and redirect our resources into healthcare, education and other life-affirming activities. CODEPINK rejects the Bush administration's fear-based politics that justify violence, and instead calls for policies based on compassion, kindness and a commitment to international law. With an emphasis on joy and humor, CODEPINK women and men seek to activate, amplify and inspire a community of peacemakers through creative campaigns and a commitment to non-violence.

Our June Sponsor:
Luke Warren has been working in progressive politics since 1994. His background includes work with California Peace Action, the Kerry presidential campaign, the Center for Arms Control and Non-proliferation and most recently the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS).

Luke started consulting on a freelance basis last year. Luke has experience as a canvasser, researcher, analyst, lobbyist, and reporter on a variety of liberal causes, but his expertise and passion is messaging and framing issues. He focuses on improving the media and on Internet outreach efforts of progressive non-profits. This includes running and advising on traditional media campaigns, showing non-profits how to use the new tools of the Internet more effectively, advising on Internet outreach campaigns, website redesigns, and writing duties for both media and the Internet. Check out Luke on the Web at

See you there,
