Dear NetSquared DC Member,

You are most cordially invited to our event Tuesday, September 23rd in Washington, DC - RSVP here: http://netsquared.meetup.com/2/calendar/8631732/
Peter Deitz and the Social Actions team won third place in the NetSquared Mashup Challenge with this idea:
Aggregate peer-to-peer social change campaigns so that individuals, organizations, and 3rd-party developers can find, support and mashup grassroots solutions to local and global problems.
The result is a meta-platform that brings together active campaigns from 29+ platforms into a single open API and search interface. You can check it out at http://socialactions.com/.
Now they need your help. The service exists - what's the best way to use it? What are some inspiring applications for it? How can organizations best use their newly released API?
Join us at 7pm on Tuesday, September 23rd for a walk through of Social Actions and group brainstorm on the opportunities it presents online organizers.
Drinks and snacks will be provided by regular NetSquared attendee Qui Diaz and Livingston Communications.
Headquartered in the Washington, DC region, Livingston Communications is a leading "social public relations" agency serving a wide variety of companies with diverse communication programs. The company's Buzz Bin blogis regularly ranked as one of the top PR blogs in the world. Our services include social media strategy, social media communications, and traditional media and analyst relations programs. We do more than just claim to be social-minded. We provide our services at cost or pro bono to numerous civic organizations and charities. Each employee of the company spends a portion of their time working with a company chosen charity. We do more than just volunteer; we give a portion of our profits, too. Since our founding in 2006, we've raised or committed more than $15,000 for charitable causes, and also represent several non-profits.
Yours in organizing,
Matt & Gabriela
