Please join me in welcoming Terry Scott, the new Netsquared co-organizer.
Here's his bio.
Terry has been a producer and media consultant for arts and social justice and organizations for more than 15 years. Recently, he's relocated to DC from New Orleans to pursue advocacy and policy work on progressive issues.He's currently a delegate for the National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture’s Campaign & Policy Institute.
In New Orleans As Managing Director at Junebug Productions he guided the staff presenting artists and their community engagement activities and produced Junebug's Free Southern Theater Institute's programs while raising over $450,000. In NYC while Director of Producer Services and Technology at the National Black Programming Consortium, he worked with some of the country’s best filmmakers to bring their projects to fruition and broadcast on PBS and other media outlets. While there, he worked with PBS’ National Minority Consortia, collaborating with producers of Asian, Latino, Native American and Pacific Islander films as well. Later, as Senior Coordinator at StoryCorps, NPR’s Morning Edition national oral history project, he managed a touring mobile recording studio and staff that traveled around the country collecting stories of everyday people.
Originally from sunny southern California he's excited to be in DC and looking forward to all things arts & tech.
