Are you interested in becoming a master of worlds, but have never ventured from behind a character sheet? Were you once a player-taunting puppet master, but it has been so long you're not sure how to run a game any more?

This Meetup is going to be a training session for those who wish to learn or sharpen up their basic Game Mastering skills. It will be a 2-hour session, focusing on the basics, starting with a discussion and moving into an example game session where everyone will get a chance to get the feel of being Game Master. You will be expected to get involved with the excercises, so attend in good humour.

Note that Game Mastering is a multi-faceted job, and that this session is to address the basic things that will let you get a group playing smoothly around a table right away. Other issues such as adventure creation, campaign worlds, system and setting choice and other topics will be covered in future workshops.

We will be using some popular RPG systems to demonstrate game flow with small groups. To do this we need you become at least passingly familiar with at least 2 of the FREE systems below. Don't worry, none of them are more than 15 pages :)
