(FULL) Joan  of Arc

A story roleplaying game about scientists and rescue personnel working to save a damaged space station before disruptive energy rips it apart. Starting from the planet’s surface, the team has limited time to get to the station, climb inside, and repair the damaged station. The clock is ticking as problem after problem besets the team members who have limited resources to battle the ravaged reactor core.

Warhammer 40K Deathwatch - Extraction

Recommended you bring: Pencil, paper, 2d10s if you have them

The only way to ensure a spot in this game is to answer the question in the RSVP stating that. For any other questions about game particulars, contact the GM: E. van der Harst

A Feast of Famine - Savage Worlds Deadlands Noir

"Most detective stories start with a dame and a dead body.  Well, this one is no different.  A brother is dead, and all signs point to a simple robbery.  His sister thinks differently.  Boy, was she right.

In Weird Chicago, rival gangs are killing each other for control of the booze trade.  But in this Chicago, the Chicago typewriter isn't the only weapon.  Dark sorcery, necromancy and weird science make for a deadly war indeed.  This is a Chicago where the The Untouchables would have the phrase: ""They put one of ours in the morgue, we bring him and send him to eat their children.""

This is a pulp game set in the Deadlands Noir setting, taking our heroes from a murder scene to a climactic struggle to survive.  Gangsters, ghouls and elder gods all stand in their way.  Nothing that a little smarts, spirit, spellcraft or shooting can't handle."

Recommended you bring: Standard RPG dice, pencil and your worst nightmare.

Desired Group: 5 players aged 16+. This game is new-player friendly.

The only way to ensure a spot in this game is to answer the question in the RSVP stating that. For any other questions about game particulars, contact the GM: Kris Østvang

Players: Niels Dowgwillo, Shane Kerr

Cannonball Run - Fraternity of Lunatics

As you stand before the New York starting line, a race official looks at the eclectic cars and teams arrayed before him. "You all are certainly the most distinguished group of highway scofflaws and degenerates ever gathered together in one place. You know the rules, there are no rules. First team to get their car across the finish line on Santa Monica pier is this year's Cannonball Run Champion! Ready, Set, Go!"

This is a "competitive" RPG based on the rules from Contender and Umlaut. A minimum of 3 players is needed.

Recommended you bring: A sense of creativity and humour.

The only way to ensure a spot in this game is to answer the question in the RSVP stating that. For any other questions about game particulars, contact the GM: Ben

Desired Group: 3-8 players.  Suitable for first time players of any age.

Players: Richard Moelker

(FULL) Monster of the Week - Dead bodies on route 66

There are monsters out there.

Most people don't believe in them, but they're real. Mostly, when someone finds out that monsters are real, that's just before they die.But some people are mean enough, smart enough, crazy enough, or hurt enough, that they live. And some of those people go and hunt down more. That's who you are – someone who decided to go on a crusade against the evil critters that are scurrying around out there.

You'll play a team of monster hunter who have been tracking a trail of dead bodies along Route 66. We will create some hunters and track down this menace.

Recommended you bring: 2d6, pencil and paper.

The only way to ensure a spot in this game is to answer the question in the RSVP stating that. For any other questions about game particulars, contact the GM: Jeroen

Desired Group: 4 players.  Suitable for first time players of any age.

Players: Michal Cross, Tessa, Tristan

(FULL) Pathfinder - #6-01 Trial by Machine

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 1-5.

More than a millennium has passed since the "machine mage" Karamoss's failed siege of Absalom, and for years the Pathfinder Society has used upper reaches of his subterranean siege tower as a training ground for initiates. During a routine drill, the once-dormant dungeon springs to life, and it will take all the PCs' resourcefulness and skill to make it out alive.

This is the first scenario of the new season 6 Pathfinder Society (PFS) roleplaying game. Newbies are welcome!
You can make a character using the PFS guidelines on Paizo.com or use of the many "pregenerated" characters that I'll bring. See you there!

Recommended you bring: d20, paper, GM bribes.

The only way to ensure a spot in this game is to answer the question in the RSVP stating that. For any other questions about game particulars, contact the GM: Vincent Kranenburg

Desired Group: 6 players.  Suitable for first time players of any age. First timers need to sign up so I can prepare!

Players: Chantal Plantaz, Trask, Rolf Soldaat, Vincent Kranenburg's +1, Davestra

Still crying, but at least we saved a few with my phase gun. Thank you for the great adventures with the smooth detective, the hobo with a shotgun and 4x Paty McFain. A great adventure with a satisfying end. Thank you for the evening,

Willing to run a 40k Space Marine game, Extraction!

  • Jeroen

I will be probably running a Monster of the Week game. (Another hack of the Apocalypse world.)

    August 11

    • Ben

The Monster of the Week game is about modern-day monster hunters. Think of TV shows like Supernatural or Buffy (although the feel of this particular game may be quite different from those)

      August 29

    • Ben

I hope that answers your question

Hi , i'm very interested to participate but the last time I played a rpg was 20 years ago... so I can say I'm a total beginner... it's possible to participate? I don't want be the cause of losing of time to no one because i don't know the rules... I'm ok to read what i need to read to learn some of the rules if needed.
    thanks

    • Kris Ø.

Oops, not finished, and a great starter's thread here https://www.google.co.....

      August 25

    • Tim

Hi Andrea. If there is anything that we as a guild are dedicated to, it making it easier for new and old timers to sit down and just play ;) In most cases the GM does not expect you know any rules, and you will learn on the job. If the GM expects you to know more there is usually information available in links etc either from the meetup page, or in a dedicated forum thread.

Hi, I have no experience at all in events/games like this but would really like to find out if this is something I'd enjoy. What are good ways to learn a bit in advance and prepare? And I see all the games listed are suiteable for first time players so I guess it's a matter of picking the description that sounds most appealing?

    1 · August 18

    • Ben

Hi Tessa. That's exactly what you should do: pick the game that grabs you the most. If you have questions, or want to know if there are other ways you can prepare for any specific game, you can contact the GM for that game and ask. They'll be happy to help and have an enthusiastic player!

  • Michal C.

Hmmm... The only way I can see myself being there if my 6-year-old son joined us for the last hour (my wife's off somewhere). He'd be on the side watching something on my iPad, likely. Would this be bad/anti-social?

    August 15

    • Ben

I've brought my 6-year-old a few times, but I've never left him alone for long. The bar staff won't mind, so it's just a question of how comfortable you are with the idea and your son not becoming a disruptive influence (we tend to say something when anyone becomes disruptive).

      August 16

    • Michal C.

Thanks for the reply. In that case, I think it'll be fine. :) I'll confirm whether I'm going in a week or so.

      August 16

  • E. van der H.

    Thank you, Ben.
