The Last Supper Dinner Club - 1st Wednesday in May

What a good day to get together....May Day!

According to Wikipedia:

"May Day is related to the Celtic festival of Beltane and the Germanic festival of Walpurgis Night. May Day falls exactly half a year from November 1, another cross-quarter day which is also associated with various northern European pagan and the year in the Northern hemisphere, and it has traditionally been an occasion for popular and often raucous celebrations.

As Europe became Christianized, the pagan holidays lost their religious character and either changed into popular secular celebrations, as with May Day, or were merged with or replaced by new Christian holidays as with Christmas, Easter, Pentecost and All Saint's Day. In the twentieth and continuing into the twenty-first century, many neo-pagans began reconstructing the old traditions and celebrating May Day as a pagan religious festival again."

Let's do what we do best to celebrate pagan holidays around here. EAT!

The restaurant left a little to be desired, but there's always the location in Mid-City for when we want to try it again.

I've heard many people say Little Tokyo is the best Sushi in town, but they were all referencing the Mid-City location, which this one did not live up to. The Mid-City location (which I went to first on accident) has hibachi and looked much nicer. I would love to try that one instead sometime. In addition though, I can't say enough about how good Mikimoto is for sushi. I haven't found anything in the city thus far that comes even close. I have taken sushi-loving friends from out-of-town there and they still rave about it months later. It's a relatively small location though, so unless we could make a large reservation, I don't know that they could accommodate a group larger than 10.

Good point. I do like the Mid-City location as well. Do you think they would have enough room? I was seated in the first, small room, so I didn't know if there was a larger room beyond that.

Good turnout, staff seemed a little overwhelmed. Stayed 4 hours. The plum wine makes me happy!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
