This meetup group is created for new moms and dads, who just simply need to get out of the house for a cup of coffee! Babies are welcome at each outing. Events in the area will be posted. However, the main purpose of this group is that the members can casually plan a quick break from their routine life. Last minute plans to meet at a local park/cafe/restaurant/bookstore are encouraged.  There are several great meetup groups for northern NJ that have planned activities.  This meetup group is created since:

1) I could not find events around Mahwah/Ramsey/Allendale/Waldwick/Ridgewood/Upper Saddle River/Paramus/Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes.  Despite some exciting events planned by other groups, that i'm planning on attending, I would like to decide last minute to meet some parents at a local starbucks...too!

2) Most of the activities are planned for toddlers and preschoolers.  I would like to plan social gatherings where newborns can also attend.  This way mom and/or dad get out of the house with the baby!

I recommend parents to post planned activities and events in northern NJ, in addition to quick outings around Mahwah area.  After you join, next time you want to go to the park, post it and you never know, you may have other free parents to join you there!
