SciCafe: Reviving the Mammoth

This is a FREE event, however attendance is limited to people I've met. Why? This is a huge public event (several hundred people) and finding me will be impossible if you've never met me.

SciCafe events are very popular, so it is important to get there early. The seats fill up fast. The actual lecture usually starts at around 7:00pm and goes until 8:00pm, then there is Q&A. There are snacks and a cash bar at the event.

When you get to AMNH, you'll get into a line for the auditorium. Once you've entered the auditorium, I will be standing on the right-hand side, toward the front. Please come find me and introduce yourself!

Enjoy cocktails, cutting-edge science, and conversation at this popular after-hours series.

SciCafe: Reviving the Mammoth

When is extinction not forever? Join Museum Curator Ross D. E. MacPhee as he discusses the amazing but controversial scientific advances that may help to bring about the return of the woolly mammoth, passenger pigeon, and other extinct species.

My train line has not been running reliably, New Haven Line. I doubt if I will make it, I'm most concerned about getting back. Please give my spot to someone else. I considered driving but have already been to city twice this week by car. Yesterday I got to my destination in under 30 minutes but it took me an hour and a half to return. I am unfamiliar with parking in that area.

More than you ever wanted to know about my trials.

I will try to check back to find out if my spot got a taker. I hope so or I might tough it in.

thanks so much for the opportunity. I hope this kind of event is repeated. Recently most Brainiac functions have been on astronomy. About the only thing related to this Earth I'm not fascinated by. Well, it's not on the Earth.

Why couldn't you have/make a little flag to hold up or wear something distinctive so you could be found by people who don't know you? I would be happy to make you something to use in the future.

Hi Judy: I prefer not to wave a flag. It will be up to everyone to find me. As I stated, I will be standing on the right-hand side, toward the front of the auditorium.

I have never met you but this is one of the more exciting events I have seen posted and would love to meet people who are also interested.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
