Gotham Atheists Launch Party at Slattery's

Gotham Atheists Launch Party at Slattery's is Saturday Night from 6pm till 10pm.

Part 1 below describes the event. Part 2 the group. NY Brainiacs has participated in events with Richies List, which is being replaced by Gotham Atheists.

Part 1

The festivities start with cocktail hour from 6pm to 7pm.  Then the official launch with announcements and call to join.  Then till 8pm you can join the Gotham Atheists for only $20 annual membership.  At 8pm all new members of the group who just joined will hand/voice vote for board members, toast to the Gotham Atheist Working Group, and pick a President.  More music, video, and drinking till 9pm.  Then at 9pm we have a special fun activity you will not want to miss.  Then lets hang out the rest of the night.

At 10pm we pay a special farewell the "Richies List" and look back at a few photo's from the past 8 years.

Slattery's is a nice bar and we encourage everyone to get a drink of their choice. Happy Hour Drinks from 6pm till 10pm for our group.  Buy some hot food!

Part 2

Saturday Night at Slattery's with happy hour drinks from 6pm till 10pm.  It will be a fun time with music, video's, toasts, speaches, and more activities.  Slattery's on East 36th Street between 5th and 6th.  Calling all Atheists, Agnostics, FreeThinkers, Humanists, Secularists, Brights, Skeptics, Philosophers, and those who are questioning religion to our new group

Gotham Atheists is about secular, science, and social human interactions.
Being secular in your approach to life, science minded in your decision making and knowing  we are social humans for a kind, easy going, and helpful group that you want to belong to.

With your effort in joining Gotham Atheists you can say you are helping push society a little more to a secular world.  Come to any of our featured Gotham Atheists events or attend any of the wider secular events we list for you that happen in New York City.

DWA, Drinking With Atheists will be every Friday Night as it as for the last 8 years.

    I don't drink myself so there's no need to feel you do
    I think the emphasis is simply that it's a social occasion and some folks like to include some drinking in hanging out together, but really don't let that influence your choice to come, as I said, i'm not drinking
