Deal51 is a daily deal meta-search engine. We're getting ready to launch v2.0 focused on collaborative commerce and personal relevance in daily deals and activities. We are seeking a Technical co-founder to help us execute on our vision of relevance and collaboration for commerce. The perfect candidate is experienced in PHP/mysql/Symfony, a hardcore programmer with a strategic technologists ambition of understanding and applying the best technologies to solve scalability, performance and stability challenges. If you’re comfortable with jQuery, that is a definite plus and if you have Sys Admin skills we won't be upset!

The role will become a critical piece of the overall success of Deal51. You will be working with your cofounders on projects big and small –
handling database management, feature specs and building, affiliate network management and content acquisition from our hundreds of partners, working with our development team, constantly optimizing the app and adding more relevance through social hooks, API connectivity with services like foursquare, tripit, opentable and others.

We have great ambitions, an awesome new product being launched in the coming two weeks and expect a ton out of our ourselves and our team. We are a New York City based start-up with an early round of funding to secure the support of the right team - one that includes YOU.
The role is full-time and pay will be in the form of salary and equity. There is a potential to engage part-time and transition to full-time as the business needs it.
