Newbies Bookclub - "Big Little Lies" & "The Catcher in the Rye"

Newbies now have our very own bookclub!!!

What:
The idea is that we can all get together, and chat about the book and get to know people and make friends along the way!

When:
Monthly meetings.  Each month we will try to meet on a different day & time so that we everyone has a change to come.

Where:
So we can try & see as much of this awesome City as possible, I thought we could meet at a different place each month – we will decide on this as a group…it is a democracy after all :-)

Who:
Absolutely everyone is welcome! Everyone has different work and social commitments so if you can’t make it one month…just come the next

The Books:
Again, we will decide on this like a democracy with everyone welcome to make suggestions and we will go with the consensus.
We have decided to pick a Contemporary book and a Classic book each month.  You can choose to read one or both (or neither!)

This Month:
We have decided to go with the current #1 on the New York Best Seller list "Big Little Lies" by Liane Moriarty (an Aussie book!!) & a great classic "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger.

We will meet at Trotters Café in Carlton - http://trotters.com.au/.  You can have a coffee, brunch, or nothing at all :-)

How to get there:
Trotters - 400 Lygon Street, Carlton
Train - Melbourne Central and Parliament are the closest (but you will need to catch a tram up to Carlton (or 20min walk)
Tram - #1, 3, 3a, 5, 6, 8, 16, 64, 67, 72
Car - street parking

If you have any questions (even about where to find a good second hand bookstore) you can contact me on[masked] or at [masked]

Looking forward to seeing you there :-)
