Bodhisattva Vow Ceremony

A Bodhisattva is one who has developed bodhichitta, the mind motivated by compassion for all living beings, that spontaneously seeks enlightenment. To fulfill the wishes of our compassionate mind of bodhichitta, we need to engage sincerely in the practices of the six perfections: giving, moral discipline, patience, effort, concentration, and wisdom.

By taking, or renewing these vows, we strengthen our motivation
and receive the blessings of all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

This ceremony includes offerings, chanted prayers and meditations. With Resident Teacher Carol Lutker.

I was very gratified by the turnout, with old friends and new people who share the Bodhisattva goal, coming together to enjoy special blessings of all the Buddhas and bodhisattvas, and help transform our world and benefit all living beings.
