Its been a fantastic summer so far, hasn't it? Let's do a little camping!
...build a fire
...have a s'mores makin' competition
...tell ridiculously scary (or lame) stories
...sleep in tents
...play in the water
...count the stars
...drink some beer/wine (try to stick to aluminum cans, and bring wine in reusable containers - no glass or plastics)
...listen to the coyotes howl
...listen to me snore
*Disclaimer: This is not a hard-core camping expedition!!! We're NOT going to scale the side of Mt Olympus on which we'll suspend our bags vertically. It's a state park, next to the water, in a very beautiful part of the Sound. There are showers (coin operated), toilets, and firewood available. We'll meet at the park and ride (TBD) at 11am on Saturday and drive out to the Camp site. We'll stay overnight and leave on Sunday. Pretty simple :)
What to bring:
Food (try to bring bulk items - limit as much packaging as possible)
Blankets, pillows, sleeping bag, etc
According to the website, there's a place to put in a kayak, so bring one if you've got one.
I'll post more information on where we'll meet, site reservation, etc, once I have a better idea of the number of people who want to go, so... RSVP soon! :)
The Camping Venue has changed! We'll now be at Kitsap Memorial State Park, which is directly on the Hood Canal. I've finalized our reservations!!!
We'll meet at the Greenlake Park and Ride at 11am. We'll be taking the 12:20 Ferry to Bainbridge, so call me if you' going to be late! [masked]. We should be at the campground by 2:30 at the latest! I've paid up front for the group camp site - if everyone would be so kind as to bring $10 for me, that'd be great! :) See you soon!
I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
