New Meetup: Theo Chocolate Tour

Announcing a new Meetup for The Seattle New In Town Meetup Group!

What: Theo Chocolate Tour

When: January 10,[masked]:00 PM

Theo Chocolate Factory
3400 Phinney Ave N
Seattle, WA 98103

Organic chocolate anyone?? I personally have never been to a chocolate tour. But I have heard good reviews about this tour (and frankly speaking I was even surprised that there was such a tour in Seattle). You can find more info here:

The tours are held everyday at 10 am, noon, 2pm and 4pm. Cost is either $6 per person or $12 per person for groups of more than 10. Although we will meet as a group, each person is responsible for their ticket.

Note: If anyone is willing to volunteer to host this tour for another group of 15 people, I can set up an event for a different date. Contact me if you are interested.

**Reminder: : Since there have been a few no shows for past events with rsvp limits, so now a no-show on my meetups takes you automatically to the back of the line in the future biggrin. We want to be considerate of the people on the waiting. Updating your RSVP after the deadline does not count!

P.S. - even if you rsvp yes, your spot isn't guaranteed until you actually purchase the ticket. Since the event is not until 1/10/10, do not purchase tickets till the first week of January and / or until you are sure you can attend.

More details (i.e where to meet, how to purchase tickets etc) coming soon.

From the website:

Our 3400 PHINNEY CHOCOLATE FACTORY offers public tours 7 days a week. We will entertain you with the story of cacao, including the extraordinary transformation of the cacao fruit into what we know and love as chocolate and the social and environmental issues relating to cocoa and cocoa farmers. Best of all, you will try all of our amazing products during your tour experience!

Please note that our factory usually operates Monday?Friday, and while you will most likely see machinery operating during the week, we cannot guarantee what you will experience on any given day as our production schedule varies.
