Announcing a new Meetup for Charlotte Wine Appreciation and Social Southside!

What: Let's help some kids in need!

When: December 12,[masked]:00 PM

Where: (A location has not been chosen yet.)

Event: Let's help some kids in need!

Date: Saturday, Dec. 12

Place: Sharon Presbyterian Church (5201 Sharon Road) and the Wine Shop at Foxcroft

Time: 4 - 6pm...

We are all aware that many folks are going through some challenging times right now and may not be able to help their children's holiday wishes come true. There is a small, grass roots charity here in Charlotte that has been helping kids and families have a special holiday for many years: Kids First of the Carolinas. If you listen to John Hancock on WBT you have heard him talk about this incredible organization and he works hard to support them.

If you would like to help, there are a variety of ways you can: cash gifts, donations of toys and clothes (new and used--gently used coats, canned goods, gas and Walmart gift cards, bicycles, board games, iTune gift cards, MP3 players--whatever, it's all tax deductible), and on Sat. Dec. 12 by going to Sharon Presbyterian in Southpark and helping set up for the kids' party, wrapping gifts, etc. If you have any items you want to donate you can drop them by the church Friday Dec. 11 between 6 and 9pm when John Hancock will be broadcasting from there or anytime on Sat. Dec. 12 after 1:30pm.

It would be wonderful if our meetup group could help with the party preparation activities on Sat. Dec. 12. If you are interested you can go anytime after 1:30pm. Let's try to be there as a group from 4 to 6pm to help out. For those interested, afterward we can go to The Wine Shop at Foxcroft at 7824 Fairview Road for a glass of holiday cheer.

If you have any questions about Kids First, donations, etc. you can direct them to Jackie Lagase of Kids First at[masked] or [address removed].

Thanks! Pat and Scott
