Twittering for Business

Twittering for Business!

A meeting you can't afford to miss!! At the next New Media Meetup/MCAI-OC meeting, Marcelo Lewin, the Digital Media Dude himself, will demonstrate how to take maximum advantage of one of today’s most important business-building media tools—Twitter! Also appearing will be Rob Brambila, “The ProMAX Answer Man,” with practical tips on post production. Did you know Twitter has search engines? Ever heard of bots? Or hashtags? Twitter’s become known for real time news from places like Iran, as well as professional networking and yes, tons of apps to build your business! Can you believe there’s already nine books in print about Twitter? Marcelo Lewin will make it all as easy for you as a tweet! Bring a friend. Veteran journalist and media commentator, David Weir of BNET, says, “It’s no longer sensible for those working in news media not to have an eye on the river of information generated by the crowd.” Join us to learn how you can use Twitter to build your business. Come early for some food as well as to network with other professionals from every area of media and make new friends. This meeting is sponsored by ProMax Systems. The gear you want, the support you need, the services you require for all post-production. EVENT: New Media Meetup/MCAI LA/OC Chapter Monthly Meeting

He totally changed my mind about Twittering. I thought Twittering was for Twits, but I have a totally different opionion now. He also made really good points about not doing a hard sale on social networks, but to develop friends first. I look forward to starting my twittering experience.

I learned more from this session than most other social media presentations put together. I feel energized!

Great super-session on how to maximize Twitter for business. Lots of good, insightful information from Marcelo Lewin (, and some great input from the audience as well. Already implemented one of the tips I was given: changed my Twitter name from billennis (who's that?) to newmediabill (also who's that? - but more likely to come up in a Twitter search for new media). It's all about relevance and contributing to the conversation - not about the number of followers you can collect :-)

In a clear, entertaining, and slow-paced presentation Marcelo Lewin shared his Tweetering expertise. It was awesome.

Marcelo was an outstanding presenter. Knowledgable, patient, extremely well organized, politie but controlled the audience. Truly professional in all aspects. The leadership of MCAI has there act together and are very welcoming and enthusiastic. Well done!
