How does a young independent filmmaker get to do 3 feature films, documentaries, TV Pilots, a slew of music videos and more?  Where do you get the money? How do you find the right talent; manage your career trajectory and weather the negatives? And oh, yeah, What if you're African-American? Join MCAI as we present a talented and accomplished filmmaker who will show you how to define your own success.



Alton Glass, CEO of Glassrock Entertainment is a successful writer-producer-director in a number of genres. He brought to life the indy comedy, "The Candy Shop," and wrote the prison drama "The Mannsfield 12." His latest thriller, "The Confidant," features Billy Zane and Richard Roundtree in the cast. His series pilot, "The Crew-Los Angeles" was sold to Viacom.  Glass also has pilots for a dance show, "Hit Music Central" and a street-gang reality show, "Rise Up" in the works. His latest project is a feature-length sports documentary profiling the legendary athlete and nationally known activist, Jim Brown, "I Am Who I Am: Legendary Mis(Perceptions)."
