Santa Fe National Forest
Coyote Ranger Station
This trip will take us to the amazing Chama River Canyon Wilderness. We will be hiking out from Skull bridge on the Continental Divide Trail. Snow conditions, water availability, and weather will dictate where exactly we go from there. My goal is one of the canyons that are just north or south of Ojitos Canyon. The hike into the northern canyon is about 5 miles and into the south canyon is about 3 miles. Because of the time of year, we will need to be flexible with the plan, to include car camping and day hiking.
Because it is winter, anyone attending needs to be prepared for cold weather. I will post weather updates next week when they are more accurate.
Please Note: Anyone attending our trips must have a signed Waiver & Release form on file with us. This waiver covers all trips and activities so you only have to sign it once. If you have not already signed this form, it can be downloaded from our Files section and turned in to the organizer when you arrive for the trip.
If you RSVP Yes for this trip please plan on attending. Please read our RSVP Policy located in our "Pages" section
