I world be interested in climbing Sierra Blanca. Attempted it many years ago, but was turned back by hurricane force winds.  Never got back to try again.

Subject: [backpackers-140] Chicago Basin - IMPORTANT

I am sending this to everyone because I have talked to a few people about this trip that are not signed up yet and I cannot remember who they were. If you have no interest in this trip just ignore this.

1. It is getting close to the time where I am going to close RSVP'S. we are close to a month within the trip time and you should have a good idea if you are going or not. If you do not plan to attend and are on the waiting list, drop yourself off. Your name really doesn't look that good there. I would like to stop wondering who is coming and start working out the real logistics of the trip. For those that have been in contact with me and have not got your ticket, please reassure me that you are going or get the ticket as soon as possible. If you just can not get the ticket right now, provide me with some reassurance you are not going to drop. 20$ deposit, or proof you have those days off. Something. I don't really care what it is. I will probably cap it at 10 people so the sooner you get the ticket the better. I can make special arrangements if it fills up and you are already planning to go. But that will be case by case. I can also always be persuaded by a six pack.

2. For those that are going or planning on going, please get to me about when would be a good time to meet. We WILL have a pre-trip meeting to go over carpooling and all the other goodies. Honestly, Sunday night might be the best for me but if i have to take some time off work I will. Communication between me and you should be done through email unless it is a general question other members might benefit from. I cant always make it to the site, or don't always visit the site but I will answer email in a timely manner.

3. I will host a pre-trip day hike to one of the higher peaks in NM. Probably Sierra Blanca since it is my Favorite. Anyone could join but I prefer hiking with you if I haven't already before we attend this trip. It will likely be the week before the trip. If you can't make it to the day hike but can possibly make one of the backpacking trips, I can make special accommodations for you if it's full.

I will close RSVP'S by the time I leave for Emerald Lake on the 14th.
