Bicycle Second Line: Bayou Boogaloo 2014

Sun, May 18,[masked]:00 am – 1:00 pm

Line-up and sing-in starts at 10 am at Bayou St. John at Lafitte Street and Jefferson Davis Parkway. Second Line Starts at 11:00 AM and Ends at 1:00 PM at Bayou Boogaloo Music Festival Grounds.

Free for Members! Not a member? Become a sustaining member today or join at the event.

The 11-mile ride starts at Bayou St. John at 11:00 AM, and concludes with an after party at the Bayou Boogaloo.

Join Bike Easy at our signature Bicycle Second Line, a pedal-powered version of the famous, musical second line parades that wind through New Orleans streets during the year.

As a parade around the city, anyone can participate. Dust off that bike, fill up those tires and be escorted around New Orleans and back to the Bayou Boogaloo by a Brass Band on the back of a truck! We hope to see you and your family and friends for this fun ride through the City.

The pace is 7-10 mph (which anyone can do) with two stops. It’s a fundraiser, and a great opportunity to become a Bike Easy member to support our work year-round, get a great t-shirt and see the city as it was meant to be seen: by bicycle

The weather was perfect for the 2nd Line Bicycling and the Bayou Boogaloo Festival. It was a great turn out.

Is anyone heading here from uptown or even downtown? I'm worried about getting lost en route and would love to get a bicycle caravan going.

Hey chris, i see online that there is a form to fill out. Do you know if there is a date that we have to register by? Or can you register at the door?
