This was a great trail, worth the drive in from Baton Rouge. Thanks Tara!

What are the characteristics of this trail and how many miles? Is it singetrack or fire roads? I just moved here from Asheville and the lack of elevation change might make me dizzy :) How long does your group usually ride? Thanks!

This is a fun trail! I will try my best to make it, but we are headed into finals next week and I am finishing my thesis. Yuck. I do want to get a Hooper/Comite Trip organized for early January though...would anyone be down? If I don't see you Mike and Tara have a kick ass time!

Also, did y'all check the trail conditions for the Spillway? Post "Isaac" and all...

I won't be able to make it this time (sorry Jacob) but I think we need to plan a trip to Comite on a later date.

The Spillway is off the norco exit. If you are coming from New orleans/Interstate, you take the Houma/Boutte exit- towards Butte. Then take Norco exit. Its a few miles down on the right.
    Or
Take Highway 61 to Highway 48 (Apple Street) into Norco. Turn right at River Road and go 1 mile.

I will be there at 9am and have a Blue Versa. We can meet at the pavillion.

I just found out I have a family event on Saturday afternoon in New orleans. Would ya'll still be interested in going mountain biking, but at the Spillway? There are about 5 miles of trails in that area.

Devin, I might need to borrow one. I think I may have an all terrain bike, but I'm not 100% I'll be able to use it

I can fit a second bike on my rack so if anyone in the BR area wants to go but doesn’t have a ride, message me!

Yea, I’m totally interested. I’ve only been out there once but would love to go back.

I may be able to go but I won't know until Thursday or Friday. I have 3 Trek mountain bikes (different sizes) that I can bring if someone needs to borrow one. Comite Trail systems are great. You can check them out with maps and pictures on singletracks.com site as well as others in the area
