What activities or events would you like to see the group offer?

Bike adventures, as well as hiking and camping trips. Kayak trips would be awesome. I'd also be down with just getting together for a game of kickball or a campfire somewhere.

What is your occupation? Area of study? (if applicable) Dream job? (money aside)

I am a Creative Writing teacher at Tulane. In the summer, I'm a mountain biking coach in Colorado, which is awesome to write here because when I first joined this group I wrote: "Dream job? I would love to somehow support myself by mountain biking all day." Next dream job: I would love to be a travel writer and work with animals or animal welfare.

What are you a nerd about? (Interests/Hobbies)

Trees. I love trees. The more dramatic, the better. Campfires. Running. Mountain biking. Lacrosse, soccer, longboarding. Music, poetry, and writing

What are your favorite places to camp or hike or to be active outdoors?

Mountain biking at the Bonne Carre Spillway, Mt Zion, and Ridgeland, skating and biking the Mississippi River Trail, running and kayaking in Bayou St. John and City Park.

How did you become interested in the outdoors?

How can you not be interested in the outdoors? I've enjoyed going on adventures since I was young and nothing beats the adrenaline rush of being in nature.

I moved to New Orleans from Seattle and am missing the outdoor activities! I love to get out and be active!
