I'm starting this group to discuss current news.

I'm reading challenged to understand news and current affairs. I tried to understand news on TV and cable channels, but most news is presented as views, not as facts. The choices media make, as to what will be in headlines and how they decide to present facts, are interesting.

Then came news aggregators like google news. They do a better job of presenting everything that is published, but they are still struggling to get the facts out of new events.

This meetup will be a quick way to socialize and keep yourself up to date. Come out to a local venue and enjoy different point of views.

We will meet all over the bay area including the East Bay, SF, and the South Bay.

P.S. This group has no political affiliation or biases, and we support freedom of speech; just be considerate of diverse audience. Since we are investigating and learning about news events, you need not to endorse any idiologies. You can also play devil's advocate to dig in more.
