New York Lacrosse Club Pages

The easiest, fastest, most free way to play lacrosse in NYC. We also try to be the most fun.

Here's a few FAQ's we get a lot.

What do I need to play at pickup nights?
For men, you'll need at least a stick, helmet, armpads, and gloves. Shoulder pads are at your discretion, since it's fairly light contact.

For girls we recommend eye and mouth protection, and gloves if you want them.

It's been (XX) years since I've played / I've never played before. Can I come out?
Yes. Definitely. Regardless of your skill level (even if it's zero), we're the best group in the city to help you get into the game again, or for the first time. Send a note if you need help finding equipment, but also just feel free to come out and meet the group sometime. Lots of people will be happy to answer your questions and get you up and running.

Is pickup still on tonight? What about the weather?
Pickup is always on unless you receive an email announcing that it's not. We play in the rain, but not lightning. We always try to send weather-related cancelation announcements early enough in the evening that you guys from out of town can change your plans accordingly.

Can you announce my lacrosse-related game/event/tourney/fundraiser to the group?
Yes! We are always happy to share community-related stuff. Please send us your details and we'll post it to the group.

Can I advertise my product/company/service to your group?
This is a finer line, but we're always happy to discuss. If we think it's a good fit and not spammy then yes. It costs money to run this group and we try to make it free to members, so we are certainly open to discussing sponsorship opportunities with the right people.

Hope that covers the basics. As always, please feel free to reach out to an organizer if you have any questions. Thanks!
