Antonio "Junior" Cervila is an internationally known performer, choreographer and instructor. He is recognized for his creative tango styling's, his intricate footwork, as well as his dance versatility. Junior has been choreographic assistant to tango legend, Juan Carlos Copes, and his performances have been seen worldwide on Argentinean television, on stage (Broadway's "Tango Argentino"), on tour (most notably with Julio Iglesias) and on screen ("Tango", nominated for an Academy Award for best foreign film, 1999) Most recently, Junior produced "Latin Dance Carnival", a musical extravaganza using music and dance to dramatically depict the evolution of Latin culture from it's African roots. Junior's own company of dancers performed this to standing ovations in Japan.
Sidney B. Grant (aka Doctor Dance!) has enjoyed a ballroom and latin dance career spanning over two decades of dedication to the art of social dancing, specializing in Argentine Tango. After capturing the Novice Professional title at the Fred Astaire Championships in Atlantic City in 1990, Grant quickly realized that social – not competitive – dance was his calling. Teaching young and old alike in a variety of settings (studios, schools and senior centers, as well as corporate and private events) Sid is in constant demand for his unique instruction and performance. His passion for partner dancing has enabled him to build a worldwide clientele.
Sid is the director and founder of Ballroom Basix. The Ballroom Basix website is:www.ballroombasix.com
